A New Journey Ahead

Octopus Ink will be closing end of March 2025

It’s time for a new adventure…

When I opened Octopus Ink in the spring of 2022, I knew it was going to be something great for the community of Billings, but I didn’t realize just how impactful it would be.

Over the years I have taught painting and art classes to hundreds of people all ages 5 and up, it was my goal to encourage and inspire others to open themselves up to imagination and creative freedom. I also have done hundreds of tattoos to help others with their body images and self-esteem (and to put amazing artwork on human canvases). It’s been an amazing journey of growth and evolution of my artwork. I am so grateful for each and every person who has supported my business thus far…

But I have some exciting news…

I am closing at the end of March so I can start a new life chapter, one of adventure. I plan to travel the U.S. (starting with the West Coast) and sell my artwork at various art shows/ festivals, guest spot tattoo at amazing shops (To continue to learn and evolve my artwork) and join in on some tattoo conventions.

I purchased a 29-foot camper that will be my new home on wheels. I plan to travel all over with my dog, Roscoe, and it will be amazing to explore new places. I plan to go on many hikes, backpacking trips, and wild, unknown adventures.

I am looking forward to this new adventure, but my heart still feels so full of love and support from those I have connected with while I was open in this location. It will be a melancholy feeling looking around the studio for the last time, knowing it’s the end of one of the most influential chapters in my life.

But this new chapter is something I’ve always dreamed of doing. I am the biggest believer that if you put your energy into something, it will manifest into something great. Since I am 25 (with no children or husband), I feel NOW is the time to chase after this nomad dream of mine. It’s an opportunity that has given me all the green lights ahead, and I feel it in my soul that it will be a decision I will never regret.

If there’s anything you want to do in life, you can achieve it. You have to put your fears (especially others fears) aside and tune in to what exactly you want in this life. Non of us are gaurenteed to get to do things when we are older, when we are retired, the kids are grown and out of the house, when “this” or “that” happens. If you want to do something, you have to at least try.

With all that being said, Octopus Ink will continue to do business as usual. Painting and art classes for all ages 5 and up will still be in full action, and you still have time to get in for my niche service (Intuitive Tattoos.) Painting classes will be over starting March 10th. I will still be doing tattoos until March 25th.

I will have a huge silent art auction/ closing celebration on February 22nd. Everyone is welcome! There will be live music, raffles, free prizes, and complimentary beverages. I have almost 300 pieces of art that will need to find new homes. I just want them to go to a new home and to be enjoyed, so the starting bids for the majority of the paintings will be a STEAL. You can RSVP to the event through Facebook HERE

I will also be having a closing sale the whole month of March that will have screaming deals on art supplies, decor, furniture and MORE. Stop in and take advantage of this incredible sale.

Until then, come in for a class, a tattoo, or even just to say hello. It’s been an absolute blessing and pleasure to be part of this community.

Adventure awaits
